| DLPs | What is a DLP television?
A DLP chip contains over a million small mirrors
(one for each pixel). By tilting a mirror towards or away from a light source the corresponding pixel's 'on' or 'off' state can be
manipulated thousands of
times per second, allowing the TV to create action-intense scenes without a problem.
The projection method used on DLPs makes them deeper than plasmas or LCD sets and cuts out
the wall-mounting option. With an excellent
size to price ratio, these are a very popular style for
those wanting to go big. A DLP television will often cost less than
an identical sized plasma or LCD.
